How to Remove an Rx from a Patient File

This article explains how to remove a product–prescription (Rx) association from a patient’s profile so it no longer appears as an active product or available for reordering.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click “Patients” in the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for the patient by name.

  3. Click the patient’s name (highlighted in blue) to open their profile.

  4. On the right-hand side of the patient profile, locate the Products section.

  5. Find the product you want to remove.

  6. Click the three dots (“…”) beside the associated product.

  7. Select “Remove Association.”

The product will immediately be removed from the patient’s list of active products.

What Happens After Removal

  • The product will no longer appear in the patient’s active products list.

  • The patient will no longer see this item when placing an order online.

  • Automated refill reminders tied to that product will stop.

Important Notes

  • Removing an association does not delete the prescription from the patient’s file.

  • If the patient has multiple prescriptions, ensure you are removing the correct product.

  • This action only affects the selected product–Rx pairing. Other prescriptions and products remain unchanged.

  • If a patient needs to reorder this product in the future, you will need to reassign it to the appropriate prescription.

When to Contact Support

  • If the product continues to appear in the patient’s webstore after removal.

  • If refill reminders continue after the association has been removed.

  • If you are unable to remove the association due to system restrictions.

If the issue persists, please submit a support ticket so our team can investigate further.
