How to Send a Patient Prescription in Otto
Otto allows you to securely send a patient's contact lens prescription directly from their patient file.
Sending a Prescription
- Open the patient's file in Otto.
- Add the product to their Assigned Products if it isn't already listed.
- Enter any missing prescription values.
- Click the ... beside the associated product.
- Select Send Prescription.
- Choose the prescribing optometrist's signature from the pop-up window.
- Confirm to send the prescription.
The patient will receive a secure link and complete two-factor authentication before accessing their prescription.
Patient Experience
Patients can view their prescription digitally or print a copy.
- Digital prescriptions include a direct link to your Otto webstore.
- Printed prescriptions include a QR code that links to your webstore.
You can see whether a patient has viewed their prescription directly from the Assigned Products section within their patient file.
Tip: Send a test prescription to yourself to see exactly what your patients receive and how the experience works from start to finish.
