How to Add Your Appointment Booking Link to Otto

Otto Premium allows you to include your clinic's online appointment booking link in prescription expiration reminders. This makes it easy for patients to book their next eye exam when they're notified that their prescription is approaching expiration.

Step 1: Add Your Booking Link

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences.
  2. Locate the Appointment Booking Link field.
  3. Paste your clinic's online booking URL.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: Add the Link to Your Expiration Message
Once your booking URL has been saved:

  1. Click Edit your Patient's Prescription Expiration Notice below the Appointment Booking Link field.
  2. In the "Edit Message" pop-up, add the following placeholder wherever you'd like the booking link to appear: {storeAppointmentLink}
  3. Adjust the message as you see fit.
  4. Repeat for SMS
  5. Repeat for French (both email and SMS) if you have French speaking patients.
  6. Click Save Changes.

    The placeholder will automatically populate with your clinic's booking link when the expiration reminder is sent.

    Once configured, patients will have a convenient way to book their next appointment directly from their prescription expiration reminder.
