How to Change a Patient’s Language Preference

Learn how to update a patient’s preferred language in their profile. This ensures they receive messages and communications in the correct language.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to the Patients module

    • Click Patients in the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Search for the patient

    • Use the search bar at the top of the page.

    • Enter the patient’s name.

    • Click on the patient’s name (highlighted in blue) to open their profile.

  3. View the left side panel

    • Scroll down within the side panel to view additional profile details.

  4. Update the Language field

    • Locate the Language field in the patient’s profile.

    • Click the dropdown menu.

    • Select the correct language preference.

  5. Click Save

    • Click Save to apply the changes.


What This Affects

  • Patient-facing communications (such as refill reminders and notifications).

  • Online ordering experience language (where supported).


Important Notes

  • Changes apply to future communications only.

  • If a patient reports receiving messages in the wrong language, confirm their language preference is saved correctly.


When to Contact Support

  • If the selected language does not appear to apply to outgoing messages.

  • If a language option appears missing from the dropdown.
