How to Enable a Promotion in Otto
Learn how to activate an existing promotion or create and enable a new one in Otto. This ensures your discounts are live and available to patients in your online store.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To Enable an Existing Promotion

Click Promotions in the left-hand sidebar.

Select the Promotions tab at the top of the page.

Locate the promotion you want to activate in the list.

Toggle the switch to the On position.

When enabled, the toggle will appear active.

The promotion will now apply according to its configured rules.

(Optional) Click the blue promotion name to:

Review the promotion details

Edit the discount value

Adjust eligible products

Modify start or end dates

To Create and Enable a New Promotion

Click Promotions in the left-hand sidebar.

Click New Promotion in the top-right corner.

Complete the required fields:

Promotion name
-
Discount type and value
-
Eligible products or categories
-
Start and end dates (if applicable)

Click Save.

Toggle the promotion to the On position to activate it.
The promotion will now apply automatically to qualifying orders.
Important Notes

Promotions must be toggled On to apply — saving a promotion does not automatically activate it.

If a promotion has a future start date, it will not apply until that date.

Expired promotions will not apply to new orders.

If multiple promotions apply to the same product, stacking behavior depends on how each promotion is configured.
