# How to Add a Doctor to Your List of Doctors

## Learn how to add a prescribing doctor (OD) to your clinic’s Doctor list in Otto. This allows you to associate orders with specific doctors and reflect this data in reports.

#### Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Click the **gear icon (Settings)** in the left-hand sidebar.
2. Select **Doctors** from the Settings menu.
3. Click **New Doctor** in the top right corner of the Doctors page.
4. Enter the doctor’s **full name** in the required field.
5. Have the doctor **sign in the signature box** provided.
   
     - The signature will be stored and associated with this doctor’s profile.
6. Click **Save** to add the doctor to your list.

Once saved, the doctor will appear in your Doctors list and can be associated with orders and prescriptiobs where applicable.

#### Important Notes

- Adding doctors is optional but recommended if you want to:
  
    - Attribute orders to specific doctors.
    - View doctor-level data in Sales Reports.
    - Use Otto to send signed prescriptions to patients.
- Ensure the doctor’s name is entered correctly, as this will appear in reporting.
- The signature should be completed before saving to avoid needing to edit the profile later.

#### When to Contact Support

- If the Doctors page does not load.
- If you are unable to save a new doctor.
- If a doctor does not appear in reporting after being added.
